A Train Design Fit for a King!

At their annual Open Day in June, coincidentally on the Kings birthday, our client DB Cargo proudly held the grand unveiling of their highly anticipated King’s Coronation class 66 locomotive. 

The fabulous train branding, designed by our very own train design expert Fiona, was unveiled to 800 employees and enthusiasts at their depot in Toton and featuring the official coronation logo Union flag alongside the emblems representing all UK nations: a rose, thistle, daffodil and shamrock. 

Wish Director Wilf Geldart was invited to attend the event by DB Cargo: “It really was a great occasion, there was so much anticipation and such a positive atmosphere when the train emerged. It was fantastic to see some of the other train liveries we have designed showcased alongside it.”

Wish’s involvement with DB over the past couple of years has resulted in the design of several locomotive liveries including our Climate Hero and Backbone locomotives pictured below.  

If we weren’t avid train spotters before, we certainly are now!
